Built around practical CW
CW599 is an independent amateur-radio project for people who want to learn, practice, and use Morse code with more confidence. We build browser-based CW tools, publish operating guides, collect useful radio setup notes, and create small places for operators to meet.
What we make
- CW tools: listening, sending, callsign, QSO, decoder, grid-locator, and other practical exercises.
- Operator knowledge: clear CW articles, radio-setting guides, and references that are useful at the bench or in the field.
- Community features: the Ham Guestbook and CW Room, designed around respectful amateur-radio operating.
- Equipment: a small selection of straightforward CW equipment and accessories.
Our approach
CW599 favors useful explanations over jargon, tools that work in an ordinary browser, and operating practices that keep CW welcoming to new and experienced operators alike. Brand names, callsigns, and internationally understood amateur-radio abbreviations are kept where they make the information clearer.
