Overview
QSO Simulator rehearses the structure of a short CW contact: calling CQ, answering, exchanging a report, name and QTH, and closing with 73. It is a learning scenario, not a connection to a real radio or live operator.
How to use it
- Press Play to hear the current exchange.
- Copy the received text into the answer field.
- Submit the copy and review the comparison.
- Send or advance to the next scripted exchange.
- Complete all six exchanges to see copy accuracy and training XP.
How it works
The simulator uses a six-step local scenario and the shared CW599 WebAudio engine. Text is converted into International Morse timing using the selected WPM and tone. Answers are normalized for case and spacing before comparison.
XP is a local training indicator, not an amateur-radio award, contact confirmation, or public ranking. No real RF transmission occurs.
Versions and archives
v1.1 aligns the narrow-screen content gutter with the site header and leaves the six-step training flow unchanged. v1.0 introduced the six-step CQ, report, name, QTH, and 73 training scenario.
